The role
As an Aircraft Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established contract providing class leading support to the UK Ministry of Defence.
Day to day, you’ll assist in the ground movement of aircraft and any activities and services on Company Aircraft and Equipment including Check A maintenance as required to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Assist in the ground movement of aircraft, requiring a driving license for both vehicles and aircraft.
Carry out flight-line operations, including preparation of aircraft for daily flying, "see-in" and "see-off" procedures, fuel and oil replenishment, and daily Check A maintenance.
Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT aircraft fleet.
Perform pre-use checks and scheduled maintenance of company-owned ground support equipment.
Complete all documentation in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based onsite at Leuchars, Fife.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
Aware of the MoD or Civilian Engineering procedures/documentation
Experience of the Aviation industry - this can include work through college or university placements
Grob 115E Experience (desirable)
Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:
Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
