Year 6 Teacher – Altrincham
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Altrincham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team after the Easter break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils through their final year of primary education. Experience with SATs preparation is desirable but not essential. The role will begin on a trial basis, with the opportunity to move onto a permanent salaried position for the right candidate.
The Role:
Full-time Year 6 Teacher position
Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs (where applicable)
Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress effectively
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience or strong knowledge of Key Stage 2
SATs experience is desirable but not essential
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
