Overall Aim of the Role:
You will assist the Housekeeping Manager, with all aspects of the running of the Housekeeping Department. You will have responsibility for: ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained, at all times; staffing the department and all aspects of the rota; overseeing the laundry operation; staff training to include Health & Safety, spot checks, refresher training; and assisting the Housekeeping Manager with all suppliers associated with the department.
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Available to work a rota with a range of shifts including daytime, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
* Specific set shifts on a two week rolling rota, with additional hours as required by the needs of the business.
* Able to undertake long periods of work whilst standing and physically capable of realising this
* To be active in the Housekeeping Role and lead by example at all times
* Oversee the shift, organising, directing and delegating those working in Housekeeping and Laundry
* Assist with ensuring a high standard of laundry is available, in all areas, at all times
* Assist with recruitment and training of new starters into the department
* Complete spot checks, feedback and training
* Complete stock checks and ordering
* Assist with the rota and staffing of the department
* Adhere to manual handling guidelines
* To be presentable, mature, professional and discreet at all times
