Freelance Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Groundworks & Civil Engineering
Location: Canterbury (Freelance, Outside IR35)
Rate: Up to £550 per day
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundwork and civil engineering? We're looking for a skilled freelance QS to join a dynamic project team based in Canterbury. If you have a proven track record in groundworks and are ready to take on a challenging project, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and monitoring project costs from inception through to completion.
* Preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
* Conducting site measurements and valuations for groundwork and civil engineering projects.
* Overseeing procurement and sub-contract management.
* Ensuring compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundwork or civil engineering projects.
* Excellent knowledge of groundworks, site works, and associated costing practices.
* Strong ability to manage budgets, contracts, and project timelines.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience working on projects outside IR35 is preferred.
