Overview
Delivery drivers who support on‑time delivery of groceries and are customer facing. Our team uses automated technology to pre‑plan routes and pre-load vans. Shifts include evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays. Base pay plus premiums to increase average earnings; breaks are paid.
Responsibilities
* Deliver groceries to customers on time and in a courteous, professional manner.
* Use pre-planned routes and pre-loaded vehicle to ensure efficient delivery.
* Maintain a Safe Working Environment and follow company policies.
* Participate in pre-employment checks as required (Licence Check, Right to Work Checks, DBS).
* Engage with customers to provide a positive service experience.
What we need from you
No prior experience required. Bring yourself and a positive attitude. Our training team will provide the rest.
Licence and driving requirements
* Full UK or EU driving licence.
* Minimum of 6 months driving experience (12 months desirable).
* Maximum of 6 penalty points.
* No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
Some deliveries involve handling alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply. As this is a customer-facing role, good communication skills are essential.
Contract and hours
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Contract Hours: 40 hours (including paid breaks)
* Contracted days: work any 5 days out of 8; 8-hour shifts; further information provided during pre-boarding.
* Shifts: AM & PM; start as early as 05:30 or finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Shift rota available up to 13 weeks in advance.
Pay and benefits
* Hourly pay rates: Basic rate Monday to Saturday £12.26; Evening Premium from 6pm £1.12; Sunday Day Premium £1.23; Sunday Evening Premium £2.46.
* Overtime rates Monday to Saturday Day Shift £15.33; Evening Shift £16.73.
* Premiums can increase average earnings; all breaks are paid.
