You do not need any health or social care experience as we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment in which to gain the knowledge of the range of health and social care support and services that are available for adults in the community and how these can be accessed by, and for the residents of East Sussex.
We are looking for candidates who:
1. Have good IT and communication skills;
2. Have some customer service experience, not necessarily in a health or social care;
3. Are self-motivated and who possess personal resilience to manage the large volumes of referrals coming into our service;
4. Are able to work in a fast paced environment.
This is not a hands on caring or support worker role but one that provides a valuable service to the community, to health and social care professionals and partner organisations such as the emergency services. We provide ongoing training and the opportunity to develop and progress a career in health and social care.
This is an office based role, and staff work shift on a rota basis covering the hours of 8pm to 8am including weekends and bank holidays. There are pay enhancements for weekend and night working. This is a 24/7 service and on occasion you may be required to work a day shift and initial training is provided during traditional office hours.
