About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding position supporting both clinical and reception areas. You'll be working exclusively with small animals, helping to deliver excellent care while also ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting veterinary surgeons and nurses with patient care and procedures
* Feeding, walking, and monitoring companion animals
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the practice
* Prepare equipment and assist with sterilisation
* Supporting reception duties: booking appointments, handling enquiries, taking payments, and greeting clients
* Managing stock and maintaining accurate records
* Ensure a calm and caring environment for pets and their owners
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
* Confidence in handling companion animals
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
* A team player with a positive attitude
* Comfortable working in both clinical and client-facing roles
* Empathy and compassion for pets and their families
* Willingness to undertake Fear Free training and abide by the principles of Fear Free care

Hours
35 hours per week to include 2 in 4 Saturdays, early finish on Fridays before non-working Saturdays
Salary
National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage relevant to your age
