CNC Recruitment are seeking a hands-on, experienced Account Officer to join our client’s team in Crewkerne – a well-respected engineering company in the Southwest region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a varied and integral position within a tight-knit admin and operations team.
Location: Crewkerne
Salary: £30.000 - £40,000 p.a (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pmand Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Start Date: ASAP – Interviews available from next week
Key Responsibilities
* Managing all aspects of the finance function
* Full responsibility for Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Invoicing
* Processing and overseeing Monthly Payroll
* Bank reconciliations and cashflow management
* Working with SAGE accounting software
* Preparing management accounts and reports
* Liaising with suppliers and customers
* Supporting with admin tasks such as planning, sales admin, and answering phones as needed
* Providing general support to the small office team
Requirements
* Proven experience in Accounts role or similar
* Strong working knowledge of SAGE (essential)
* Experienced in purchase ledger, invoicing, and payroll
* Ability to manage a varied and fast-paced workload
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Quick to learn, adaptable and able to multi-task across functions
* Team player with a “hands-on” attitude
* Comfortable in a down-to-earth, industrial office environment
* Experience within the industrial, engineering or manufacturing sectors
* Previous exposure to SME environment.
