Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What You Will Do
* Low Secure Forensic Mental Health Service – You will work under the supervision and management of a Consultant Clinical Forensic Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering services to Low Secure patients with complex needs including severe and enduring mental illness, addictions, complex trauma and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. This six-session in-patient post will include teaching, training and supervision of multidisciplinary staff to develop provision of Low intensity Interventions within the Low Secure setting.
* Community Mental Health Service – You will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment interventions for individuals accessing the North Ayrshire Community Mental Health Team. There will be opportunities to develop a supervisory role for clinicians and other staff members, in addition to direct clinical activity.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
* You will be an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, with experience relevant to the post. Applications from final-year DClin Trainee Clinical Psychologists are also welcomed.
Hours
* 37 hours per week
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
* A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
