Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support children in an early years setting within primary schools across Sheffield’s S18 and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey.
The Role:
* Supporting children aged 3–5 years in a nursery/early years classroom
* Assisting with play-based learning, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
* Working alongside the class teacher and nursery staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment
* Providing support for children’s social, emotional, and educational development
* Helping with daily routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and group activities
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent)
* Knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework
* A patient, supportive, and positive attitude with strong communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)
