This Business Development & Marketing Manager is positioned in a leading law firm and will join the International Intellectual Property Group on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of a globally recognised IP practice, working alongside a collaborative and high-performing team.
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the international MBD strategy for the IP Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high-value bids, developing client-focused campaigns, and supporting cross-border initiatives that enhance the firm’s market presence and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
* Lead the preparation of competitive bids and tenders, managing the pitch pipeline and collaborating with partners to develop winning strategies.
* Support the development and execution of the group’s BD strategy, using market intelligence and analytics to identify opportunities.
* Facilitate cross-practice and cross-border collaboration, with a focus on strategic client development and third-party partnerships.
Marketing & Profile Raising
* Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives to enhance the group’s market visibility.
* Draft and manage BD content across platforms, including social media, PR, and legal directories.
* Coordinate submissions for awards, rankings, and deal tables to support the group’s external recognition.
Operational Management
* Provide line management support to the BD Coordinator and assist with budget oversight.
* Maintain and improve MBD infrastructure, including CRM systems, credentials databases, and marketing materials.
* Contribute to team meetings, manage internal communications, and respond to ad hoc BD queries.
