Job DescriptionTechnical Field Sales ExecutiveNorth & Central Scotland (field based)Salary £35,000 + c£12,000 Bonus + Company VehicleOur client is an award-winning company who are recognised as specialists in their field and supply into welding, fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering industries.As a result of growth, they are recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven External Sales professional to account manage and grow an established territory across North and Central Scotland.This is a field-based role focused on developing long-term customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting industrial customers across fabrication, welding, manufacturing, and engineering environments.The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers on site and on shop floors, combining strong relationship-building skills with a practical understanding of mechanical or industrial environments.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering autonomy, flexibility, technical training, and strong long-term career potential.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a mature existing customer base across North and Central ScotlandIdentify and secure new business opportunities through proactive field sales activityConduct regular customer visits to workshops, fabrication facilities, manufacturing sites, and industrial environmentsBuild strong working relationships with customers and understand operational requirementsRecommend suitable products and solutions based on customer needsPrepare quotations, proposals, and follow-up activityWork closely with internal sales and operational teams to deliver high levels of customer serviceMaintain accurate CRM records and pipeline managementRepresent the business professionally across all customer interactionsWhat We’re Looking ForEssential Experience & SkillsProven track record in external or field-based B2B salesBackground within mechanical, fabrication, industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sectorsComfortable working within shop floor and industrial site environmentsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage a field-based territory independently and effectivelyExperience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelinesSelf-motivated, organised, and commercially focusedFull UK driving licence is essentialWillingness to travel regularly throughout North and Central ScotlandHighly AdvantageousExperience selling into welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or engineering industriesTechnical or solution-led sales experienceFamiliarity with industrial equipment or capital salesExperience supporting demonstrations or product applicationsExisting industry network across the Scottish industrial sectorFull product and technical training will be provided, and you will have the support of an experienced leader and a great central support team.What’s on OfferPermanent field-based positionMonthly uncapped bonus with realistic OTE of £47,000 per annumFlexible working pattern with 4 or 5 day week options availableHigh level of autonomy and territory ownershipCompany vehicle providedEstablished customer base with strong growth potentialSupportive and experienced internal teamLong-term career opportunity within a growing industrial sector businessIdeal Candidate ProfileYou will likely be an experienced field sales professional who understands industrial customers and enjoys building relationships face to face.
