We are offering child support worker roles in East Fife, supporting children and young people engaged in mainstream education, including primary, secondary, college, university, or work placements. Your role will involve creating tailored plans to help them thrive and plan their next life stages.
You will be based in a satellite house with links to the main service in Fife. This home supports up to three young people and functions vary depending on residents. It may serve as a throughcare service for children moving from the main house or provide specialist care for children with acute mental health issues related to gender dysmorphia. The role offers varied challenges and opportunities to learn.

* Salary up to £29,000 depending on experience, with additional sleepover allowances and overtime paid at time and a half

Responsibilities
* Work effectively as part of a team of child support workers
* Provide 24-hour care to vulnerable young people
* Create a warm and nurturing environment for each child
* Encourage participation in educational and alternative learning activities
* Maintain a professional manner in line with National Care Standards
* Act as a positive parenting role model
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
* Skilled in building therapeutic relationships aligned with organizational values
* Knowledge of attachment theory, trauma, and children in care
* Registration under the PVG scheme
* Full driving license
* Desirable: SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or working towards it
