Duties and responsibilities related to the Kitchen Porter role
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas, including pot wash, equipment, and back-of-house spaces.
* Ensure all crockery, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and stored correctly.
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required.
* Support the kitchen team by ensuring a steady supply of clean equipment during service.
* Dispose of waste correctly and follow recycling procedures in line with company standards.
* Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and work surfaces, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.
* Assist with deliveries, including checking, storing, and rotating stock appropriately.
* Support opening and closing procedures within the kitchen.
