Team: OVO Drive. Location: Hub Based - Hybrid for all. Salary banding: £46,220 - £55,000. Experience: Experienced. Working pattern: Full-Time. Reporting to: Android Lead - OVO Drive.

Where you’ll work
Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.
Responsibilities
* Setting quality standards with Software Engineers and building out the tools and processes that will ensure we meet them
* Understanding customer pain points and ways in which they can be mitigated
* Collaborate with product managers to plan and prioritise work
* Accountability for timely and reliable delivery of your work
* Supporting the team to guarantee high system uptime and reliability
* Work alongside commercial and technical teams to ensure that we get the most value out of our work
* Possible additional responsibilities as the role evolves
What makes you successful
* Take full responsibility for the product’s quality from discovery through to its final release, including coordinating steps for App Store and Play Store deployments
* Participate in Discovery to deeply understand requirements, enabling comprehensive and effective test cases
* Work with the team to provide realistic QA scope and effort estimates during sprint planning
* Help the team maintain automation test suites using Appium
* Contribute to the team’s ways of working and testing standards to help the squad scale
* Maintain consistent communication with developers, product owners, and key stakeholders, and work with on-call engineers to validate and resolve issues
* Familiar with logging and monitoring tools
* Collaborate effectively in a supportive environment
