Mechanical Technician - Swindon, Wiltshire\n\n£35,000 - £45,000 DOE\n\n37.5 Hours Per Week (Shift patterns vary between (Apply online only) hours for an 8-hour period)\n\nBusiness core hours - (Apply online only)\n\nTwo shift operations (Apply online only) and (Apply online only) (2 early /1 late rotation)\n\n1 in 4 weekend (sat/sun) (Apply online only) or (Apply online only) flexible @x1.5\n\n1 in 4 on call, call out Thurs – Thurs (Apply online only) on the phone to attend site within 1/2hours dependant on priority @x1.5 min of 2 hrs given per call (average of 20min on site to make safe and go home)\n\nAre you a skilled Mechanical Technician looking for a new opportunity for our client, based in Swindon. This permanent role offers an attractive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience. If you have a background in Mechanical Engineering and are passionate about maintaining critical systems, this could be your next career move!\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and planned maintenance on a variety of services, plant, and equipment, including boiler systems, AHUs, and chiller plants.\n\t\nProvide detailed assessments and risk evaluations for significant shutdowns and operations to the management team.\n\t\nPlan and schedule maintenance activities and coordinate with contractors effectively.\n\t\nConduct analysis and diagnosis of faults in complex equipment.\n\t\nPerform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on a range of plant and equipment.\n\t\nAdhere to all relevant workplace regulations, procedures, and best practice guidelines.\n\t\nProactively develop and review health & safety systems and working practices.\n\t\nTrain and mentor apprentices and trainees as directed.\n\t\nCommunicate any unrepaired faults or spare parts requirements to supervisors.\n\t\nParticipate in on-site and off-site training as needed.\n\t\nFulfill on-call duties as part of a shared rota covering operational hours.\n\nProfile of a Successful Candidate:\n\nCertificate of Higher Education and Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.\n\t\nProven experience in a similar mechanical engineering environment.\n\t\nStrong knowledge of Mechanical Building Services.\n\t\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\n\t\nAbility to work shifts covering Monday to Sunday.\n\nReady to Make Your Move?
