Job Overview
The Director of Commercial Operations is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team reporting to the Group Chief Executive. The role is responsible for developing and implementing solutions to support the planned growth in public transport in Northern Ireland aligned to Translink’s Better.Connected Strategy. It will provide strategic vision, operational oversight, and inspiring leadership to strengthen the Translink brand, drive revenue growth, and unlock new opportunities. This is a broad portfolio, leading a team of specialists who are responsible for developing and delivering Translink's commercial, marketing, and communications strategies to achieve organisational objectives, while leveraging multi‑channel, digitally focused and innovative approaches to market engagement.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement solutions to support growth in public transport aligned with the Better.Connected Strategy.
* Provide strategic vision, operational oversight, and inspiring leadership to strengthen the Translink brand, drive revenue growth, and unlock new opportunities.
* Lead a team of specialists delivering commercial, marketing, and communications strategies to achieve organisational objectives using multi‑channel, digitally focused, and innovative approaches.
Qualifications
* Highly capable commercial leader with significant experience in leading and managing commercial strategies within a high‑volume service delivery environment.
* Demonstrable experience influencing and shaping strategy with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
* Operational leadership experience within a complex operating environment.
* High levels of political awareness and substantial budgetary responsibility.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
