We have an incredible opportunity to join Phoenix Group as a Lead Data & Reporting Technical Business Analyst within our Transformation, Tech and Data team in the Asset Management function.
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Telford, London, or Edinburgh (hybrid work)

Salary and benefits: £72,000-£85,000 plus bonus, private medical, 38 days leave, pension, life assurance, career breaks, income protection, volunteering days, and more.

The role
We have two positions: one focusing on Capital Markets and the other on Policyholder Investment Office. These roles support our data maturity and asset management vision, contributing to a world-class data ecosystem.
For Capital Markets, candidates should have experience working with Front, Middle, and Back Office teams, understanding trade lifecycle from both investment and operational perspectives. Attention to detail and collaboration skills are essential.
For Policyholder Investment Office, experience with policyholder investment teams and understanding of investment and operational components are required. Both roles involve developing business and technical requirements, working in agile teams, and managing analysts.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate business analysts in data and reporting teams.
* Build relationships with stakeholders to elicit and update requirements.
* Facilitate discussions within multidisciplinary teams.
* Support project management and ensure timely delivery.
* Create artefacts like user stories and maintain knowledge repositories.
* Prioritize backlog with Scrum Master.
* Support agile delivery and manage risks.
* Develop sustainable, commercially viable data solutions aligned with Asset Management goals.
* Provide oversight and share knowledge within the team.
What are we looking for?
Essential:
* Experience in banking, pensions, finance, or asset management in regulated environments.
* Experience with policyholder investment & fund data, derivatives, trade lifecycle.
* Working with Front, Middle, Back Office teams to gather requirements.
* Understanding of data platforms, warehouses/lakes.
* End-to-end agile project experience.
* Vendor engagement experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence.
* Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, Test Automation.
* Understanding of Data Management/Governance and data architecture.
* Technologies: R, Python, reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), APIs.
Desirable:
* Membership of a professional body.
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
