Job Description
We are looking for a Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 in PHSE. As a Teacher, you will work in our alternative education provision in Kings Lynn. You will be working with a maximum of 8 students per class on a 1:4 ratio supported by a teaching assistant in every lesson, enabling you to form closer and more positive relationships through marking, assessment, and feedback. Many of these students work at a lower level due to missed education.
You will be teaching students who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, in small groups. The work is intensive, requiring flexibility, sensitivity, patience, and resilience. An ability to work with and engage all students with creativity and passion towards the subject is essential.
You will be part of a small but effective team where communication and professionalism are paramount. The work, whilst challenging, is extremely rewarding. Primarily, you will be required to teach, produce schemes of work, and lesson plans. Building rapport with students, families, and carers is key, and you will need to liaise with various agencies to address student issues and barriers to learning.

* Support learners to reflect on their learning, recognize progress, and set positive targets.
* Maintain good order and discipline, safeguarding student wellbeing.
* Build effective relationships with students and families; liaise with outside agencies as needed.
* Undertake administrative tasks related to teaching, including exam entries, register, and invigilation.
Other Duties:
* Act as a role model; champion Catch22 and the Education directorate’s values.
* Comply with policies on safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, data protection, and confidentiality.
* Engage in professional development and collaborate with staff to share best practices.
