About Rosemaund Farm Whisky
Rosemaund Farm is a historic Herefordshire distillery that has recently been regenerated with significant investment to begin a new chapter as an independent English whisky house. Our vision is to craft whiskies rooted in place - honest, adventurous, and unmistakably English in character.
This year, we launched our inaugural release: a ballot of just 2,700 bottles. We have also sold out our first cask programme of 50 casks, reflecting strong early demand and a growing community of whisky enthusiasts. In 2026, distillation begins again at Rosemaund, with future cask programmes and limited-edition bottlings continuing to build that community in the UK and abroad.
Alongside whisky making, our Wild Kitchen and distillery experiences will allow visitors to immerse themselves in farm-to-glass whisky culture.
We’re now looking for a Distillery Operative to join the team at this pivotal moment of growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Distillery Manager, you will play a key role in our annual distillation campaign and wider operations across the site. This is a seasonal production role centred around distillation, with varied responsibilities in cask management, bottling, and visitor experiences throughout the year.
It’s a hands-on role for someone passionate about whisky and eager to get involved in all aspects of the business - from the stillhouse to warehouses, bottling lines to tours and tastings.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating and overseeing the annual distillation campaign – from beer wash intake to cask filling.
* Recording and analysing data from each run to ensure accurate yield, efficiency, and quality tracking.
* Working with the Distillery Manager and Master Blender on upcoming releases and cask tastings.
* Supporting cask sourcing with suppliers and exploring new maturation styles.
* Carrying out weekly compliance checks, including cask quality and site safety.
* Maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.
* Assisting with bottling - filling, labelling, and preparing orders for shipment.
* Delivering tours and tastings for visitors, particularly outside of distilling season.
* Supporting hospitality events at our Wild Kitchen, from hosting to guiding guests through tastings.
* Contributing to new product development and innovation in whisky making.
About You

* Has experience in distilling, brewing, or another production environment (desirable, but training can be provided).
* Is detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Thrives working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
* Is adaptable and willing to support across all distillery areas and hospitality.
* Brings genuine enthusiasm for whisky, sustainability, and sharing stories with visitors.
* Holds a valid driving licence.
What We Offer
* The opportunity to help shape one of England’s most exciting whisky distilleries as it builds its reputation at home and internationally.
* Hands-on training across distilling, maturation, bottling, and compliance.
* Involvement in new product development and limited-release bottlings.
* A role that blends production with hospitality - no two days are the same.
* Competitive salary, depending on experience.
