Job Description

As a Payroll Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract with DO & CO, you will be the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries within the unit. Your responsibilities include administering payroll documentation such as new starters, pensions, benefits, annual leave, and sickness. You will also ensure that our payroll database, Fourth, is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with legislation.

* Support the payroll team with day-to-day administrative duties.
* Input payroll data accurately and promptly throughout the employee lifecycle.
* Maintain employee records to ensure all information is accurate.
* Update internal databases regarding leave, sickness, maternity, pensions, and benefits, ensuring clear communication for payroll and HR purposes.
* Prepare and amend HR records, including pensions, benefits, salary sacrifice, annual leave, timesheets, and agency invoicing.
* Assist the Payroll Coordinator and Manager to verify payroll calculations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Serve as the first point of contact for employees on payroll-related queries and provide support as needed.
* Manage the Fourth payroll message box.
* Coordinate internal arrangements such as travel and expense processing.


Qualifications

* Experience working within an in-house payroll team.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detailed information.
* Proficiency in IT and numeracy, especially with computerized payroll and benefits systems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Integrity and approachability to handle sensitive and confidential issues.
* Ability to interpret statistical data and communicate findings professionally.
* Clear and engaging communication skills, with strong written and verbal English.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure within demanding deadlines.
