We’re working with a well-established, friendly and growing regional solicitors’ practice looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant with a view to train up and take full ownership of the finance function.
Practicing for over 100 years, and steadily growing, in a beautiful location in Leigh on Sea.
This is a standalone, hands-on role where you’ll lead all aspects of finance and work closely with the Partners to support the firm’s continued success.

The Firm

* Property
* Family
* Litigation
* Business Law
* Wills, Probate & Trusts
* Employment
The Role
You’ll work with the current Finance Manager, developing in order to manage the entire finance function, including:
* Management accounts and monthly reporting
* Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
* Client and office accounts
* VAT returns and bank reconciliations
* Payroll and supplier payments
* Liaising with external accountants
* Supporting Partners with financial insight and decision-making
This is a broad, varied position with real responsibility and visibility across the business.
About You
* Experience in an accounts role for a Solicitors
* Background in legal or professional services (essential)
* Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Comfortable working independently
* Organised, proactive and detail-focused
