The Traffic & Network Team are looking for Summer Students to be based in Pullar House, Perth.
Duties will include assisting in the survey, design and supervision of roads projects. There are 2 posts, one of which is within the Road Safety team and one within the Roads Design team:
· Road Safety - You will assist in the preparation of minor traffic engineering projects such as traffic signs, road markings and traffic calming schemes. You will also assist in the assessment of road traffic collision data.
· Roads Design - You will assist in the preparation of projects such as footway and carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements and public transport infrastructure improvements.
You must be studying for, or have recently completed, a qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar).
The Individual
Experience is not essential, however, candidates should have good computer skills and be comfortable working as part of a team and under their own initiative.
You must have a valid driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
