Job Title: Buyer, Procurement (Senior Analyst)
Location: Glenrothes (Hybrid)
Summary of Role:
Within the Weapons and Sensors Business Area, one of the largest operating areas within the Raytheon UK business, the dynamic Procurement team are an integral part of the Supply Chain team. The Team are involved in several exciting and high-profile programmes and accountable for partnering and promoting relationship management strategies, resolving risk and challenges within the supply chain and bring material & services into Raytheon safeguarding continuity of supply, to the highest quality and deliver on time.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager for the Weapons and Sensors Business Area, the Buyer will place POs, manage order books, expedite the suppliers and ensure the suppliers deliver material on time and in full (OTIF) and manage the Procure-2-Pay phases of the lifecycle. The Buyer will also liaise with suppliers at various management levels to drive improvement and resolve disputes.

Main Duties (Leading and/or Supporting):
1. Places POs for purchases for materials, services, and supplies
2. Manage the supplier order book
3. Identifies supplier risks and provides solutions
4. Ensures that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers.
5. Manages supplier performance to cost, schedule and quality requirements.
6. Interfaces with internal and supplier cross-functional organisations.
7. Continually assesses and promotes sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural and diversity values in the organisation and throughout the supply chain
8. Facilitates relationships between programme office / functional organisations and suppliers.
9. Utilises good communication skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
10. Initiates and participates in supplier assessments and development activities.
11. Liaising with peers from other disciplines and businesses and the Functional SLT.

19. Experience or knowledge of MRP, SAP and purchase order placement/ material receipt processes
20. Good presentation skills
Desirable:
21. Experience in Procurement and/or Commodity teams
22. Experience of developing and managing Subcontractor Relationship Management and collaborative working
23. Knowledge of import / export legislation and logistical requirements
24. Experience of working with international suppliers / programmes
25. MCIPS (Level 4,) / BA / MSc or equivalent
