About your team:
At British Gas, our mission is to sell and mend energy.
With over 200 years of powering UK homes and businesses, we’re also making the UK greener and more energy efficient, moving closer to Net Zero using smart tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers to help customers reduce their carbon footprint.

About your role:
The Electricity Settlements Manager ensures British Gas meets its settlement obligations within the domestic electricity market, overseeing processes for compliance with the Balancing and Settlement Code, and verifying energy volume attribution accuracy.

Your key daily duties:

* Ensure compliance with the BSC, demonstrating this during audits.
* Lead and develop a team of Data Analysts to improve settlement performance and reduce imbalance exposure.
* Oversee the Elective Half-Hourly portfolio for accurate billing.
* Maintain accurate Estimated Annual Consumption (EAC) values.
* Manage meter read rejections, failed reads, and industry exceptions.
* Collaborate with operational and product teams to mitigate impacts on settlement and imbalance.
* Manage outsource partners and third-party strategic partners to optimize settlement benefits.
* Support understanding and implementation of industry changes like MHHS.
* Proactively monitor industry developments to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Experience managing analyst teams, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Technical knowledge is advantageous but can be developed in this role.
