Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (dependent on experience)

A well-regarded primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join its team from April 2026. The Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will create an engaging and inspiring classroom environment that promotes independence, resilience, and strong academic progress as pupils prepare for their transition into Year 6.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons in line with the Upper KS2 curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Prepare pupils for the academic expectations of Year 6 through high-quality teaching in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider school community.
What We’re Looking For
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable).
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and reflective practice.
• A genuine passion for children’s academic and personal development.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
