Senior Accountant – 1 Day in Office | Core Hours 11AM–2PM | £50k–£55k FTE | Flexible & Hybrid Working

2) The RoleYou’ll manage a portfolio of SME clients, serving as their main advisor and building long-term relationships. Your work will be impactful, timely, and trusted.
Core responsibilities:
* Lead contact for client portfolio, providing excellent service
* Prepare/review FRS105 & FRS102 accounts and corporation tax returns
* Support and review junior staff output, offering constructive feedback
* Prepare VAT returns, management accounts, and forecasts
* Complete self-assessment returns for individuals and partnerships
* Monitor scope changes and manage pricing via structured proposals
* Maintain accurate progress in practice management tools
* Respond to client emails within 48 hours (sooner for VIPs)
* Learn firm systems and suggest process improvements
* Occasional travel for team/client meetings
3) About YouYou’re qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW) and have at least 2 years’ experience in practice. You care about doing things well and making a real impact—for clients and colleagues alike.
You bring:
* Practice experience with FRS105/FRS102 accounts and tax returns
* Knowledge of UK self-assessment and SME tax
* Experience with VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounts
* Strong communication, including video and written formats
* Attention to detail and good time management
* Familiarity with Xero or willingness to learn
* A collaborative mindset and comfort asking for support
* Enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth

* Salary: £50k–£55k FTE (pro-rata for 25–30 hrs/week)
* Hours: 25–30 hrs/week. Paid extra hours or TOIL
