About the role
• Providing support to the Agents and their clients.
• Managing your own book of commercial renewals which will include farms and businesses along with their personal insurances.
• Handling general enquiries, new quotations and policy alterations with a proactive attitude.
• Identifying and advising on a wide range of products to ensure we are fully protecting our clients which will include our financial and risk management propositions.
• Liaising with underwriters regarding customer requirements.
• Building and maintaining long term relationships with our clients.
• Transacting business and documentation compliantly within FCA requirements.
About You:
• Confident to build relationships through effective written and verbal communication skills on the phone and face-to-face.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to work to strict deadlines within a compliant environment.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and quick to adapt to new systems.
• Hard working and a great team player
• Commercial insurance experience would be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C (or equivalent) including English and/or Welsh and Maths.
• A full and clean driving licence and able to work in Llanrwst and Llandudno.
• Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
Good Repute Checks
Agents of NFU Mutual are required to ensure that they, and their staff are of Good Repute and are required to carry out two independent checks on all staff.
1. Basic criminality check –Basic checks show any ‘unspent’ criminal records (as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974). Once a conviction or caution is ‘spent’, it no longer shows on a basic check.
2. Bankruptcy check – to ensure that staff are not an un-discharged bankrupt.
