Are you a compassionate, practical, and proactive person with a love for the outdoors? We're looking for someone to join our team at Tyddyn Môn, a charity that has been supporting adults with learning disabilities for nearly 40 years. This isn't just a maintenance job; it's an opportunity to make a real difference by combining your practical skills with a passion for helping others.
This part-time role is based at our beautiful 35-acre farm in Anglesey. You'll work 21 hours a week (3 days), playing a crucial role in maintaining our grounds and supporting our service users with a wide range of activities.
The Role
Your days will be a mix of hands-on grounds maintenance and supporting our service users with day-to-day activities. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Grounds Maintenance: Maintaining our farm's grounds, including our ponds, polytunnel, and greenhouse. You'll handle tasks like mowing, pruning, edging, and keeping our spaces tidy and safe.
* Handy Person Tasks: Taking on general woodworking and maintenance tasks around the farm.
* Activity Support: Working alongside and supporting adults with learning disabilities as they engage in activities like gardening, horticulture, animal care, woodwork, arts and crafts, music, and cookery.
* Transport: Assisting with transporting individuals to and from the farm.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Caring and Compassionate: You have a genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Practical and Proactive: You are a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
* Reliable and Flexible: You are adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks as needed.
* A good communicator: You are approachable, with good listening and communication skills.
* Experienced: While not essential, experience in garden or grounds maintenance and/or supporting people with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
Requirements
* A full clean UK driving license is essential.
* You must be 21 years or older (due to insurance requirements).
* A Class D1 license is a bonus, but we will provide training if you don't have one.
* The ability to communicate in Welsh is highly desirable.

* Salary: £13,333 per annum pro rata

* Holidays: 18 days per year (pro rata)
* Pension: 3% employer contribution
* Contract: Subject to a six-month review period. This role is also subject to an enhanced DBS check.
