Lead from the ground up—be the driving force behind a major EPCm project in Grangemouth!
Overview
A site-based Construction Manager is required to oversee and coordinate construction activities on a major EPCm project in Grangemouth. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role is key to ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards and specifications. You will manage subcontractors and site teams while driving progress and ensuring project milestones are met.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities
Plan and control both pre-construction and construction phases
Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular inspections and risk assessments
Monitor project progress and resolve construction-related issues
Ensure quality standards and client specifications are consistently met
Provide oversight for civil, structural, and architectural (CS&A) installations
Lead on-site documentation including reports, inspection records, and change orders
Support audits and implement corrective actions for any non-conformances
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Review engineering designs and specifications for compliance and feasibility
Requirements
Essential:
Degree, HND, HNC, or NVQ Level 6 in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Professional certification in construction site supervision (e.g., SMSTS)
CSCS/CCSNG card
Significant construction management experience on complex industrial projects
Desirable:
Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification
Experience with EDMS systems (e.g., Viewpoint)
