Operations Desk Controller
Location: Longwell Green
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £27,835 per annum

About the Role
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Operations Desk Controller to support our Service Department. You’ll coordinate engineers, schedule customer servicing, and ensure smooth, efficient operations. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
o Schedule and coordinate all customer service jobs efficiently
o Allocate engineers and equipment to meet customer requirements and maximise resources
o Organise breakdown repairs and order parts, liaising with Sales and Parts Support teams
o Process monthly service jobs from audit reports
o Raise quotations following service visits when needed
o Quality-check service reports and job sheets for invoicing and budget tracking
o Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements using company templates
o Ensure all SLAs and KPIs are met and maintain records of performance
o Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Skills & Experience
o Excellent organisational and communication skills
o Strong customer focus with the ability to build lasting relationships
o Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
o Good commercial awareness to maximise profitability and spot new business opportunities
o Experience with CRM systems such as SAP, Kerridge, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
o Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
o Interest in mechanical or electrical equipment is advantageous
