Overview
My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage specialists based in Edinburgh.
Qualifications
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Reports, Drainage Strategies and Drainage Design using Civils 3D, Infodrainage or Causeway Flow.
Location
It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally as you will be required in the office.
Role scope
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling, Flood Estimation and Drainage Projects for Residential, Commercial and mixed-use developments across the England and Scotland for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities.
Responsibilities
* Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Reports.
* Flood Estimation.
* Surface Water Management Plans.
* Drainage Strategies.
* Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Causeway and Infodrainage.
* Access Road Design.
