The Role
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for integration of electrical systems and components into complex products and platforms, but may be expected to support other technical domains depending on the nature of the department workload.
Key Responsibilities
1. Development of new electrical system architectures. Engine, Transmission and Electrical Systems
2. IC Engine Integration, E-Machine & Inverter exposure, EMC, Voltage Reqs etc.
3. Development of electrical integration solutions for new and existing platforms.
4. Selection of components.
5. Creation and maintenance of wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and system schematics.
6. Integration of sensors, actuators, control units, and communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, etc.).
7. Liaison with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure compatibility and performance.
8. Conduct system-level testing and validation of integrated electrical systems.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to power distribution, signal integrity, and communication protocols, and provide hands-on support to builds.
10. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
