Our client, NI's largest supplier of kitchen and bathroom's are currently seeking to recruit a Trade Counter Assistant to join their team Location: Newtownabbey Salary: £25,000 £28,000 per year (depending on experience) including many company benefits Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview The main purpose of this role is to provide exceptional service at the trade counter, oversee warehouse operations, and support the efficient dispatch of customer orders. You will play a key part in maintaining stock control, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide professional and friendly service to customers at the trade counter. Prepare quotations, sales invoices, and internal documentation accurately and efficiently. Organise and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring safe and correct transportation of materials. Maintain effective stock control through regular checks, ordering, and inventory management. Ensure the warehouse and yard areas are clean, organised, and fully accessible at all times. Process incoming goods, manage returns, and report any shortages or damaged items. Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, and store stock. Drive the company van to deliver materials when required. Promote and ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies across all areas of the branch. Participate in ongoing training and development as required. Knowledge & Experience Required Minimum 2 years experience in a trade counter, sales, or warehouse environment. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. A proactive, motivated team player with a hands-on approach. Full, clean UK driving licence.
