Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Local Authority for an interim Legal Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative, financial, and systems support to the Director of Law and Legal Services team.
ROLE: Legal Business Support Officer
LOCATION: North West London
RATE: £25–£30 per hour LTD (£26.72ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £23.84ph PAYE exc. Holiday pay)
CONTRACT: 3-month ongoing contract, 36 hours per week
Please note that this role would require office attendance.
Key responsibilities:
Provide business and administrative support to the Legal Services Senior Management Team.
Assist with financial planning, invoicing, and monitoring external legal spend.
Support the coordination of case management systems, reporting, and performance data.
Help manage the Lexcel accreditation process, including annual assessments.
Maintain records, diaries, agendas, and meeting papers for the Director of Law and SMT.
Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
About you:
Experience working in legal services or practice management support.
Familiarity with Lexcel standards is highly desirable.
Strong organisational, financial administration, and IT skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships and support service improvement.
