We're partnering with Airbus to find a proactive Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly by resolving technical issues, supporting shop-floor teams, and contributing to operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll provide vital lineside support to ensure aircraft production runs efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Shop-Floor & Lineside Support
* Providing hands-on technical support to resolve issues such as missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, outstanding work and tooling matters.
* Supporting work-order management, including out-of-cycle tasks and identifying blocked work orders.
* Escalating issues to specialist teams (Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP and Outstanding Work) when required.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
* Contributing to lean initiatives and helping identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve shop-floor processes.
* Supporting analysis of industrial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality, Safety & Logistics Support
* Helping ensure production and quality standards are maintained at all stations.
* Supporting the communication and application of EH&S rules and identifying near-misses.
* Assisting with the prioritisation of materials linked to rework orders.
Tools, Jigs & Asset Support
* Assisting in creation or modification requests for new tools, jigs and small tooling repairs.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering experience and a passion for problem-solving.
Essential Experience
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, aviation, production or lineside environment.
* Strong understanding of production processes, engineering methods and technical issue resolution.
* A systematic, organised approach with excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
* NVQ Level 4 or acceptable alternative required.
