Organisation Dragons RFC Salary Up to £50k dependent on experience Location Ystrad Mynach, Wales with travel to fixtures Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 21 November 2025 Interview date 1 December 2025 Job Description Dragons RFC are looking for an experienced first team physiotherapist to provide elite level physiotherapy services to our first team squad and play a key role in our performance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of professional sport.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high player availability to the Dragons RFC senior squad through accurate injury assessment, diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation.
Plan and deliver high level rehab to injured first team players ensuring a safe and effective return to play using objective testing and data informed decisions.
Communicate effectively with the Head of Medical to ensure they are kept up to date on all medical matters relating to first team players.
Assist in keeping accurate detailed records of all injuries for injury surveillance project.
Provide match day physiotherapy care and pitchside trauma cover for first team fixtures.
Manage caseload of players effectively and efficiently.
Provide education, mentoring and to more junior therapists and interns.
Qualifications & Experience
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
Registration with Heath and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Level 3 Immediate Care in Sport (ICIS) or equivalent qualification.
Three to five years experience in elite level sport.
Eligible to work in the UK.
