Your Role...
Your role will be to support Norfolk County Council’s programme of developer-funded projects, using your technical skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency. You will:
* Support the Team Manager in ensuring we deliver a first-class service to both Norfolk County Council and developers.
* Undertake the feasibility and design of a varied range of highway projects.
* Work with developers to technically review and approve Section 278 and S38 submissions to the authority.
* Accurately discharge the Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015.
* Support the WSP Commission Manager as needed.
* This role involves working at the client office located in County Hall, Norwich, once or twice a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the rest of the week.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience as a design engineer in a highways design team.
* Experience with highways design and construction supervision in a local authority environment.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MX, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, or similar software.
* Experience working in a local authority environment.
* Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts.
* A degree in Civil Engineering and professional registration or working towards it.
