Senior Accountant, Accountancy Practice

Butler Rose are excited to be representing a successful, and growing accountancy practice as they look to hire a Senior Accountant. Having come about through business growth, this is a brand new role which will manage a team of experienced Junior Client Managers. This is a commercial, consultative position which will deal with all client interactions, advisory, and onboarding, as well as still running your own portfolio of complex clients.
The ideal candidate will be fully ACCA / ACA qualified and will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working for an accountancy practice. They will be confident interacting with clients and will have broad experience covering general accounting for Ltd.'s, partnerships, sole traders, and LLP's.
This is a hands on role which will include a supervisory element of overseeing 5 Accounts Seniors / Junior Client Managers.
Role Responsibilities:
* Statutory accounts preparation for a diverse range of clients.
* Preparation of corporation tax and submission of CT600's to the HMRC.
* Experience in completing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
* Attend client meeting and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
* Effectively manage time to ensure work is completed within agreed time and budget.
* Oversee the work of 5 junior accounts team members.
* Ensuring the team workflow runs smoothly and that all deadlines are met.
Person Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience working in a UK based accountancy practice.
* ACA/ACCA Qualified.
* Current knowledge of statutory accounting, corporation/personal tax and VAT.
* Excellent communication skills and adept and developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
* Experience running your own portfolio of LTDs, Sole traders, LLPs and partnerships.
