Head of Care & Support
Join a leading provider of high-quality care and support services dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with learning disability within the Manchester community. We seek a skilled leader who is able to join their team on a FTC for 12 months, to ensure that teams are supported and mentored to deliver the best outcomes and support required.
The role:
Lead and oversee the delivery of exceptional care and support services across services across parts of Manchester for adults with learning disability and autism.
Manage, lead and support a team of House leaders, Care Co-ordinator and Health & Safety experts fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure the delivery of person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
Monitor service quality through audits, feedback, implementing improvements where necessary.
Build and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and external stakeholders.
Support with any training and development, recruitment initiatives to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
Manage budgets, resources, and operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice within the organisation.
Monday to Friday with some flexibility needed over the weekend where required. Full time hours 37.5 per week. Some remote working available.
What you'll bring
Relevant professional qualification in health and social care (e.g.Level 5 Leadership & Management or equivalent).
Significant experience in a senior care management role within the adult social care sectors.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent understanding of CQC regulations, compliance standards, and safeguarding procedures.
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and operational policies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with people being supported and your teams.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and resources efficiently.
Commitment to person-centred care and continuous service improvement.
Leadership qualities including resilience, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. A firm but fair leader who is calm, professional and able to work with all people. A good sense of humour!
Work with the Community Leader to ensure the outcomes and objectives of the services are met.
