Position
Intensive CPN Team (previously known as CRT) are continuing to develop intensive provision to patients of Ayrshire and Arran developing a 72 hour specialist assessment hub. As a result ICPNT are looking to recruit 2, permanent band 5 staff nurses who will be based within the community and the new Mental Health Assessment Hub within Woodland View, working 37hrs per week, working over weekends and nightshifts.
What you will do:
Applicants should have a sound understanding of Mental Health Disorders. Applicants will require a registered qualification as a mental health nurse and be able to demonstrate continuous professional development.
They should be able to evidence current statutory and mandatory training being up to date and show a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work using their own initiative and as a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community. They should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of current mental health policies and mental health legislation.
As an RMN with evidence of professional development, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in an Acute Mental Health environment is desirable.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a condition of this post and the successful applicant will require to join the scheme prior to appointment.
A car owner/driver is essential with full driving license essential.
Applicant will be expected to work flexibly.
