A leading electrical contractor in the Armagh area are looking to add a Junior Quantity Surveyor to their expanding team.

Responsibilities:
Assist estimating with measuring and formatting tender returns
Gather accurate information for tendering purposes in a team or on your own
Issuing tender queries and preparation of tender reports
Assist in pricing and sourcing specialised material
Post tender and pre contract activities: familiarisation with the tender file and assisting with preparing commercial targets for the project
Liaise with the site teams to update weekly take offs, dayworks and timesheets
Value, certify and issue any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract
Manage and control any variations on site and agree with the client accordingly
Produce valuations for each project, submitting them for the Commercial Manager to approve
Assisting to follow up contract documents, ensuring they are acceptable and signed also
Review contractual documentation for items such as the price, delivery period, payment terms
Perform financial analysis of construction projects, to ensure that projects remain within budget, and that all payments from clients are directed to subcontractors in an efficient manner
Ability and willingness to develop new and existing client relationships

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
A flexible attitude with a willingness to travel for site visits in Ireland, the UK, and Europe, as required.
