About the Team
As a Chef/Cook, you’ll be at the heart of our hospitality services, crafting delicious, nutritious meals that brighten the day for our clients. Your food won’t just nourish – it’ll bring joy and comfort to those who need it most.
About the Role
Based in Keynsham, you’ll be preparing and serving mid-day meals to residents of the extra care service as well as visitors to our day services. You’ll have the chance to share your culinary skills across a variety of community groups – every day will bring something new.
This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact. The role is permanent, offering 24 hours on average per week on a cycling two-week fixed rota, including two weekends per month and bank holidays (enhancements for weekends and Bank Holidays). Working hours are from 8am to 2:30pm.
We also welcome you to join our ‘Bank team’, giving you the flexibility to pick up extra hours that suit your lifestyle and commitments.
As our services grow, so can your role. There may be opportunities to increase your contracted hours or take on new responsibilities. If you’re someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for making a difference – we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
1. Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate
2. Familiarity with the IDDSI framework
3. A team-player mindset
4. Strong communication skills
5. Flexibility and adaptability
6. Experience in catering environments
7. Willingness to support a range of services and partners
Desirable:
8. Understanding of dietary needs for older adults
