W&A is supporting a leading organisation in the financial services sector to appoint a Financial Analyst within their Planning & Reporting team.
This is a 6–12 month fixed-term contract, based in Edinburgh with hybrid working.
The Role
This is a high-impact role where your work will inform key financial decisions at senior levels. From day one, you’ll be immersed in the models that underpin strategic reporting and planning, helping shape how the business operates for years to come.
As the organisation aligns more closely with its parent group’s systems and standards, you’ll not only support existing reporting processes but also help reimagine them. This is a rare chance to influence finance transformation in a collaborative, forward-thinking setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of timely and accurate management reporting across the business.
* Maintain and develop financial data models and reports that support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with internal reporting cycles and planning timetables.
* Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders across finance teams.
* Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and analytical output.
* Respond confidently to ad hoc data and analysis requests in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
* Hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning & Budgeting tools (ePBCS preferred).
* A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Confidence in communication and a structured, responsible approach to work.
Desirable
* A professional accounting qualification (or working towards one).
* Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector.
