About this opportunity
Beehive is our in-house creative agency, and sits within Brands Marketing and Experience, part of the Consumer Relationship division. We opened our doors in 2021, and we’re now a nearly 50-strong team of passionate creative designers, artworkers, copywriters and account handlers. We’re about to embark on our next phase of evolution… enhancing our motion team to enable us to better support the growing demand for more personalised, digital 121 customer communications.
We work in partnership with communication teams across Brands, Marketing & Experience (BMX) – working together to get every brief right first time – whether it’s copywriting that makes the complex simple, a personalised one-to-one campaign that drives action or in-branch material that is perfect for the time and place.
A little bit about the role…
Motion work is increasingly in demand in our team right now, so we’re looking for someone who can self-start, take the lead on projects and play a strong role in supporting our motion offering. We’re looking for passion and initiative; someone with current knowledge of all things motion who can create scroll-stopping social and engaging digital content.
You’ll be able to:
• produce high quality design and motion work for assets across a range of channels including email, Internet Banking, Direct Mail, Social and Digital Display.
• Create and present storyboards and animatics work - a great storyteller to bring your ideas to life, presenting work to our senior team.
• You’ll have strong influencing skills, with the ability to challenge directly in a respectful and collaborative way.
• Draw on your design fundamentals, and natural eye for motion in creating short form animations, video content or DMPs for our branch screens. You understand what good looks like.
• Help our customers to understand how we can support their financial needs through the creation of best-in-class marketing communications.
• Take ownership of creative projects and briefs from start to finish
• Ensuring the brand visual identity of our group brands is always consistent
• Work with copywriters to bring messaging, narratives and communications ideas to life.
• Work closely with the Lead Motion Designer and Creative Director, being part of a brilliant team culture
What you’ll need…
• Highly proficient in After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with Maxon One is a bonus.
• A customer-first mindset, ensuring our creative is designed with accessibility in mind and in line with the principles of Consumer Duty.
• The ability to conceive original, and innovative motion work, that helps to differentiate our brands and strengthen our relationships with customers.
• The ability to take and develop an effective brief and understand requirements, directing others to execute on a brief and deliver high quality outputs.
• A strong eye for detail and consistency is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability and gravitas to propose your ideas with a clear and compelling rationale.
• With a range of brands in our portfolio, you’ll know your way around a set of brand guidelines or two – interpreting and applying them effectively.
