Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
* Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations across all active sites in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
* Drive EHS performance improvement through proactive risk assessment, behavioral safety initiatives, and continuous monitoring.
* Liaise with senior management, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a strong safety-first culture.
* Review and approve project-specific EHS plans, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and safety documentation.
* Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and briefings for site personnel and contractors.
* Champion sustainability and environmental initiatives including waste management, emissions reduction, and regulatory reporting.
* Lead EHS reporting and KPI tracking at group level, ensuring full visibility across departments and projects.
* Represent the business in EHS audits, pre qualification meetings, and industry awards.
Qualification:
* Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential; Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) preferred.
* Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in a senior EHS role within construction, M&E, or industrial engineering environments.
* Proven track record managing safety across complex installation projects involving generators, HV systems, fuel infrastructure, or critical M&E packages.
* In-depth knowledge of EU construction regulations and health & safety legislation.
* Experience with multi-country project delivery and cross-border regulatory compliance.
* Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
