Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Northumberland (Morpeth area)
Salary: £14 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Morpeth. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background working with neurodiverse children across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and thrive in a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to neurodiverse pupils in small groups or 1:1 settings.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with neurodiverse children in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
