Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and sous chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and production. Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
* Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
