Our Early Years team is central to our school’s ethos, offering a nurturing, creative, and play-based approach that gives children the very best start in their educational journey. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced EYFS Lead to join our leadership team from September 2025. Role Overview: As EYFS Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of our Early Years provision. You will lead an experienced team of practitioners and play a vital role in ensuring our curriculum, environment, and practice meet the highest standards, fostering a love of learning and strong foundations for all children. Key Responsibilities: * Lead teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage * Ensure a high-quality, child-centred curriculum that supports all areas of development * Support and coach EYFS staff, leading phase meetings and professional development * Monitor pupil progress and outcomes, using data to inform planning and interventions * Create a vibrant, inclusive, and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment * Develop strong relationships with families to support pupils’ learning and well-being * Contribute to the wider leadership of the school and whole-school improvement initiatives We Are Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Significant experience teaching within the EYFS, with a strong understanding of the framework and early years pedagogy * Previous experience in a leadership or subject leadership role (EYFS leadership experience desirable) * A commitment to excellence in early years practice and continuous school improvement * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team * A reflective and resilient practitioner with a passion for early childhood education * This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) What We Offer: * A permanent, full-time leadership opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking school * A dedicated and collaborative Early Years team * Opportunities for professional development and career progression * A well-resourced EYFS setting with excellent outdoor learning spaces * Dedicated leadership time and planning support * Competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale with TLR How to Apply: If you are an experienced EYFS practitioner with a passion for early education and a drive to lead, we would love to hear from you.
