Overview
The AA is hiring a Technical Helpdesk Advisor based in Basingstoke, England. You will provide expert technical advice to customers and support the contact centre by ensuring the right workloads are assigned for the most effective resolutions.
What will I be doing?
* The Technical Advisor provides essential technical support, advice, and repair guidance to customers, ensuring attendance only for genuine breakdown scenarios.
* Communicate effectively to resolve breakdowns and deliver excellent customer service.
* Record data accurately on relevant databases to support management insights and decision-making. Computer literacy and familiarity with various systems are required.
* Offer clear, simplified technical information to customers and patrols to increase understanding and confidence.
* Operate as a target-driven team member focused on achieving results.
What do I need?
* Mechanical Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) with substantial experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.
* A fixer/problem solver who uses technical expertise to resolve issues and get customers moving again.
* A master communicator who can translate complex technical information into clear guidance for customers and patrols.
* Flexible: comfortable working outside normal hours on a roster that includes weekends.
